Child obesity; Causes And How Prevent It

What is child obesity?
Child obesity is the excess weight as a result of excessive accumulation of body fat, which caused by the consumption of more calories than the body needs which happened to the children. Therefore, parents are strongly advised to continue monitoring the child's weight so as not to be obese, because child obesity can also lead to increased risk of various diseases. 

Causes of childhood obesity
The causes of child obesity are complex. Genetic factors, biological, behavioral and culture are some of the causes. Basically, obese occurs when a person eats more calories than the calories burned by the body. While obese in children can be caused by heredity, especially if the parents suffered from diabetes, so their children are at risk for obese at a young age, even when a toddler they will have a normal weight.

In addition to hereditary factors, the factors that also responsibility for causing child obesity are the diet, physical activity, rest patterns which applied, the lack of exercise, medical illness, medicine, problems with family or friends and other emotional problems.

There are few studies have looked at child obesity, although it has not reached a definitive conclusion, but socio-economic situation known as the cause of an obese child. Meanwhile, children who are obese are known to be at risk of growing into obese adults as well.

How to prevent obesity
Child Obesity; Causes and How Prevent ItThe best thing to overcome child obesity is by limiting calorie intake and increase physical activity such as exercise. The children still need nutrients from food to support its development. Therefore, the child does not suggested to do such an extreme way as the steps on a strict diet to achieve the ideal body weight.

Child obesity related with the consumption of fat, so to reduce the consumption of fat, as parent they can provide the lean meat or low-fat milk to their children. However, the experts suggest low-fat milk should be given only to children over 12 years.

Diet
To tackle child obesity, parents are advised to maintain nutritional intake of children. Because, obesity is often caused by the child's food intake that is not controlled, especially fast food and high fat. The following are some healthy diet to prevent child obesity:

1)    Consumption fruit and vegetables enough
Teaching the children to choose healthy foods from an early age are not easy. Environmental factors and the taste of food sometimes become reason why the children prefer snacks outside the home. However, the child should still be guided to eat nutritious foods to get accustomed to adults.

2)    Limit consumption of sugar, and drink more mineral water.
You have to train it from an early age, maybe you can start to tell as a result of consuming too many sugary foods are not good for body health or even to teeth.

3)    Exercise 3 times a week.
To avoid child obesity, encourage your child to do the simple and interesting exercise, for example by doing gymnastics for children with the cheerful music accompaniment.
